Bereavement breaks

Our bereavement breaks are specially designed to offer bereaved parents a chance to step away from daily stresses, reconnect with themselves, and begin the journey of recovery following the loss of a baby. These peaceful breaks provide time and space for healing in a supportive and nurturing environment.

As we are a small charity, we have to have specific criteria in place to ensure our support reaches those most in need.

Our breaks are available to parents based in the East of England, who have experienced a stillbirth (from 20 weeks of pregnancy) through to neonatal loss within the first 28 days of life. Bereavement breaks are offered within six months of a baby’s passing.

Daisy Bank Camp

Deep in the moors above Hebden Bridge, alongside the sweet heather and thistle banks, sit our six hand made, timber-clad cabins .

Each cabin is named after the birds that fill the air in this precious patch of West Yorkshire; with carefully decorated interiors featuring wallpaper by Hannah Nunn and artwork by Kate Boyce that reflect the birds and the beautiful wilderness they call home.

Here, you can roam the landscape of Ted Hughes and the Brontës right from your front door – and fill your soul with the light, the clouds and the endless views.

28 Millgate

Aylsham, Norfolk

This stunning Grade 2 listed North Norfolk cottage has been lovingly renovated to create a luxury family and dog friendly holiday home. Located in the historic Millgate area of Aylsham, 5 minutes stroll from the thriving medieval market town centre, and gorgeous independent shops, pubs, and restaurants.

28 Millgate is owned by Kelly and Lee Allison.

In December 2017, Kelly and Lee ran away to North Norfolk. In the summer of that year after 4 years of infertility and gruelling IVF, they sadly lost their much longed for twin girls Lily May and Ava. Both born sleeping too early at just 18 weeks.

They couldn’t face another family Christmas. They needed to go where no one knew them, where they could walk, talk and try to make sense of the life we were living. Norfolk saved them that year. The beaches and countryside helped them heal, year after year they continue to return.

They'd always hoped one day they'd have the opportunity to spend more time there, and finally 6 years later they've bought their perfect holiday home. Their beautiful rainbow daughter will get to experience life near the coast, and they hope many other families will be able to enjoy it too.
